Guidelines for requesting assistance

If you need help with the forum software, we are more than happy to assist you. However, we ask that you follow these guidelines so that we can better help you and not waste time.
- Never post your account credentials or email address. This is a public forum, readable by anyone. We do not need your password to assist you, and we do not want to know your password. If the we need your email address then we will make arrangements with you to obtain this information in a secure way.
- Search the meta forum first to see if someone else is having the same problem. Perhaps the solution to their problem is also the solution to yours.
- Provide as much diagnostic information as you can in your initial post. Tell us exactly what you did, what the result was, and what you expected the result to be instead. If you are receiving an error message, copy and paste it. If it feels like we have to pull teeth to get information from you, then you probably won't receive much help.
